As promised last year, King of Clubs is back but this time, it’s bigger than ever! Not only have we decided to move the entire event south of Kuala Lumpur to the expansive area that is Putrajaya, we have also made it a two-day event rather than one to accommodate all the challenges.

Here are five things you need to know about King of Clubs 2015:

No.1

In 2014, the clubs that we invited drove Audis and BMWs, Minis and Peugeots, Alfas and VWs, you get the idea, we only invited the Euro car clubs. But this year, we are happy to announce that we have opened invitations to all Japanese Car clubs as well! So this year you will see Hondas and Mazdas, Nissans and Toyotas all present at the competition

The reason why we made the move from Shah Alam to Pullman Putrajaya Lakeview was because of our expanding ambitions. While we might have to sacrifice the Go-Kart challenge, the lure to have cars burning the tarmac of the airfield is too hard to resist. That’s right! The Gymkhana challenge will now happen on an airfield!

No.3

Don’t be disappointed that we won’t have the Go-Kart challenge anymore as we’ve replaced that challenge with a little something we would like to call Precision Driving. This will require participants of the competition to take on a driving course that will send them weaving through a set of cones and then back again to clock in the fastest time.

Our dreams have been realised with the inclusion of the Pitstop Challenge! This challenge had been planned last year but due to some difficulties we had to drop this, but now it’s back and we’re ready to see all of you operate that pneumatic wheel gun. So we will have two new challenges: Pitstop and Precision Driving, while Gymkhana, Simulators and RC Challenges makes a comeback.

No.5

While King of Clubs is still an invitation only competition, this year we’re opening up the grand stands to the public. So even if you will not be taking any part in the club competition, you are still invited to come witness the action on the 3rd and 4th of October 2015.
