The Tissot PRS 516 Extreme is a modern take on the famous Tissot PR 516 timekeeping legend of the 1960s. At that time already, the PR 516 was a tribute to motorsport and Tissot’s related deep-rooted passion for fast machines. The original model was famous for its bracelet that integrated cut-out circles illustrating steering wheels of pioneering race cars.

Today, you may find a model with that option, reminiscent of those times. However, it is today’s cars that take the lead in the Tissot PRS 516 Extreme. Its straight case line – stainless steel with black PVD coating –  takes from the smooth and somewhat futuristic bodywork of the ultimate modern car, while the details on the dial and bezel illustrate its sophisticated dashboard.

The Tissot PRS 516 Extreme handles being submerged without worries. The watch is water resistant up to a pressure of 10bar without ever leaving your wrist. Its honeycomb bracelet that illustrates the sophisticated ventilation system of a modern car keeps the engine cool while it fires up with its dynamic stripe around the bracelet hands down, leaving a smoky trace on the date display, which, with its screws, reflect its mechanical nature with the fast wheel on the see-through caseback to show for it.
