Volvo takes Customer Service to new heights

Volvo Cars launch a new range of Concierge Service to make life much easier for their customers.

Volvo has a new concierge service to offer their customers and it is set to put every other concierge service to shame! The service will come under the umbrella of the Volvo On Call mobile platform and was conceived after extensive research on how make things more convenient for all Volvo owners.

According to their research, most owners would like to have their cars picked up for servicing, moved to a desired location, washed and most importantly, refuelled. Hence the company has came up with this new service where a Volvo personnel will take over the time consuming tasks like the aforementioned and return the car safely to the location they are parked in.

“Imagine parking your car in the morning at work and when you head home your car has been serviced, cleaned and refuelled. These are the kind of services we want to deliver to our customers. Our research shows that people spend hours every week doing these small errands – we want to give that time back to Volvo drivers, so they can do something more valuable instead,” said Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Experience at Volvo Car Group.

The system functions from a pilot app on your mobile device. From the app, Volvo owners can select and order their desired concierge service. The request is then sent to an authorised Volvo service provider who will proceed to complete the respective services the customer has requested.

Volvo, being a safety obsessed car maker, ensure your vehicle safety with a one-time-use digital key, which is location and time specific, that expires once the car is returned to the requested location and locked.

As of now, the pilot programme will commence in San Francisco this November and will cover 300 Volvo owners, specifically the XC90 and S90 owners. Volvo are certainly raising the bar in customer services.
