Volkswagen Teases the Artheon

Volkswagen gives us a peek at their all new model, the Arteon, before the official unveiling next year.

Set to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show early next year, the Arteon is the first of its kind in the Volkswagen line up. Sitting above the Passat, the Arteon is presumed to be an executive saloon segment contender.

The intriguing name VW have chosen is a combination of 'Art' and 'Eon'. Art symbolizes the cars harmonious lines while the second half is a clue to Volkswagen's top premium model in the Chinese market, the PHIDEON.

From the teaser, it seems that the German brand has taken a new approach to its styling with the new striking dominant radiator grille and headlights at the front. Teamed with LED lighting, the front prominently expresses the Volkswagen brand.

Frameless windows adorn the Arteon giving it a grand tourer effect as does the top hinged tail gate. The design and practicality suggests that the Arteon could be a VW set for long journeys yet retaining exclusive virtues.
