The Phantom lives on

Rolls Royce announces that they are continuing on with the Phantom

Back in February, Rolls Royce shocked the world when they announced that they will be axing the Phantom model. But it seems we were greatly mistaken. The super luxury manufacturer just announced that the Phantom 8 development project has taken a new step forward.

Rolls Royce revealed that the engineers are working on a new aluminium architecture that will underpin the new Phantom. Images of the structured from the Home of Rolls Royce in Goodwood shows just how well the new Phantom is taking shape. Rolls Royce expects the Phantom 8 to be revealed in 2018.

Meanwhile, the demand for the Phantom VII has remained strong since the announcement that the car will be replaced. All 50 of the final Phantom Coupe and Drophead Coupe Zenith Collections cars have been snapped up by patrons and connoisseurs alike. On the other hand, Rolls Royce has also received an increase in demand for the Bespoke Collections to create one-off examples of the pinnacle Phantom limousine.

“To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of Phantom’s death are greatly exaggerated,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “The huge level of demand for Phantom VII, which we will fulfil well into 2017, clearly demonstrates that the Rolls-Royce customer and patron of true luxury will accept no compromise when considering the purchase of a super-luxury motor car, and will not be seduced by mass-luxury brands. I am proud and excited to confirm that a new Phantom is on the way – and it will be a contemporary and beautiful Phantom befitting of its role as the flagship of global luxury."

Closer to home, Rolls Royce Motor Cars will soon be adding the Rolls Royce Dawn to the super-luxury car collection. Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook pages to witness the launch!
