The sportier Panamera takes stage with a whole new line up

The all-new long wheelbase Executive version is packed with power and comfort to suit the growing customer’s needs

Although the Panamera wasn't really the nicest looking car that comes with a Porsche badge, it all changed when they took the covers off the latest version of this four-door grand tourer. Now sportier and sleeker than before, the all-new Panamera did more than turn heads at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show as it now comes with an expanded model range.

Making its world premiere as the newest member in the Panamera family was the longer wheelbase version dubbed as the Executive. This new variant has its body length extended by 150mm and is aimed to offer more legroom and comfort for the rear passengers.

The Panamera Executive combines luxury and performance into one package and will come in four different versions, starting with the Panamera 4 Executive which is powered by the new 3.0-liter V6 turbo producing 321bhp. This new and highly efficient petrol engine acts as an entry-level power plant and offers 20bhp more than the previous version. It is then followed by the 428bhp Panamera 4S Executive, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive with 449bhp, and the most powerful of the lot, the 534bhp Panamera Turbo Executive.

Raising the bar to a whole new level, all Executive versions will be fitted with an array of enhanced equipment levels as standard. These include adaptive air suspension, a panoramic roof system, electric comfort seats with comfort headrests in the rear, heated seats, and rear roll-up sunblinds. They will also be offered with an optional large rear centre console that could be equipped with two integrated folding tables.

While the Panamera 4S Executive boasts further refinements compared to the standard with the rear-axle steering and soft-close doors, it is the top-of-the-range Panamera Turbo Executive that gets the best gadgets inside as standard. A four-zone air-conditioning system, LED main headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and ambient lighting are just a short list of the equipment fitted in the Turbo.

The handsome second-generation Panamera made its debut earlier in the summer of 2016 and the four all-wheel drive models of the Panamera 4S, 4S Diesel, 4 E-Hybrid and Turbo are already made available on the market.
