Maybach is back with a cabriolet limousine

Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet makes its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The German marquee, Maybach, is famed for launching extravagant and expensive limousines based on the Mercedes S-Class, and their latest creation is the S 650 Cabriolet. Limited to just 300 units worldwide and a price of 300,000 euros, seeing one in the metal is going to be rare.

The S650 Cabriolet is based on the bewitching S-Class cabriolet and offers an exclusive approach to luxury open top motoring. Applying the Sensual Purity design philosophy, the Maybach differs from its S-Class sister with the help of a new front bumper, upgraded lower section and extra chrome highlights.

To further identify it as a Maybach, the front wings house the Maybach emblem, the logo is projected onto the floor as you open the door, and standing out the most is the 20-inch Maybach bichromatic finished forged wheels. Inside you will find the vehicle production number on the cup holder, Maybach lettering on the steering wheel and Maybach emblems on the seats.

The devil truly is in the details, and Maybach ensure no stone is unturned in providing utmost detailed styling for 300 exclusive owners. Inside, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz Style “Arrow 460-Granturismo” yacht, the trim elements and flowing lines create a yacht ambience. Fully leather trimmed, the seats have a waterfall-like upholstery and diamond quilting on the seat side bolsters.

A three-dimensional effect is created by the trim elements that come in designo nut brown magnolia, either with flowing lines or in a high gloss finish. Buyers can choose from nine additional interior colour combinations to suit their taste.

Together with your purchase of the exclusive cabriolet, you will receive "The Affinity" set from MAYBACH - ICONS of LUXURY, which consists of two large travel bags and lifestyle bags tailored to match your respective S650 Cabriolet's specification.

Maybach also provides a high quality car cover in the same colour as the soft top with a Maybach emblem on it. Along with the cover, the company is also offering a nappa leather key ring with the vehicle's production number and a certificate signed by Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes Benz Cars.

Maybach have not tampered with the dynamics and drivetrain of the vehicle, so it comes as standard with the 6.0-litre BiTurbo V12 630bhp 1000Nm engine along with the diabolical soundtrack that gives the car its strong character. Transmission and suspension is the same 7G-TRONIC and AIRMATIC suspension that keeps the supercar performing cabriolet agile yet comfortable.

What are the odds that one of these exclusive Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet will make it to Malaysia? Anybody want to hazard a bet?
