All new Mazda CX-5 hits the production line

Going on sale in February 2017, the CX-5 started production yesterday at Mazda Motor Cooperation's Ujina Plant in Japan

Crossover SUV sensation, the Mazda CX-5, has been a strong contender in the segment ever since its birth in November 2011. With its attractive KODO design and increasingly impressive SKYACTIV technology, Mazda has managed to shift 1.57million units as of the end of October 2016, accounting for a quarter of Mazda's annual sales volume.

In Malaysia at least, the CX-5, with its attractive price and good looks, has lived up to Mazda's aim for a new dimension of driving pleasure that can be shared by not only the driver, but also everyone on board.

Shortly after introducing the new look, Mazda has put the new CX-5 into production at the Ujina Plant in Japan. So expect the first CX-5s to start inhabiting international roads by February. No word yet on when Mazda will start production of the car to other countries yet though.

Expect the all new CX-5 to hit our local showroom by next year.
