Record tally raked in at 4th Mazda Charity Golf Tournament.

Here’s what happened at Bermaz Motor’s very successful charity golf tournament

RM 625,500 was raised for the Mazda Medicare Fund (MMF) at the 4th Mazda Charity Golf Tournament held at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Golf and Country Club on October 20th.

The event initiated since 2014 is a CSR program by Bermaz Motor Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles and Prima Merdu Sdn Bhd which is the sole and exclusive importer of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, out of that record breaking total,RM 500,000 was contributed by the directors and senior management staff of Bermaz Motor while Bermaz Motor itself raised a total of RM 125,500 for MMF.

The bulk of the money raised this year will aid in providing subsidized lifesaving hemodialysis treatment for End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients with financial constraints in collaboration with B.Braun Avitum Renal Services and the nonprofit Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital in Penang.

MMF which was recently accorded tax exemption status by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia also channeled part of the proceeds to other charitable organisations such as orphanages and old folks’ homes.

So to all you golfers with a big heart, mark your calendars for next year’s Mazda Charity Golf Tournament.
