Maserati's new Bella now officially on sale

Maserati gives their first ever SUV a price tag!

It is official, Maserati’s first ever SUV is now on sale. About time too, considering how long it has been since the preview was held for us media to get a glimpse of the SUV’s grand-ness. At the price of RM888,880 you will get to be a proud owner of this beautiful SUV and Naza Italia is also throwing in a three-year standard warranty coverage with no mileage restrictions. You also have the option to upgrade your warranty package to the Maserati Premium Service Plus of three years/ 60,000km option.

A brief recap of the Maserati Levante. The Levante is Maserati’s first ever SUV in the marque’s 100-year history. The SUV shares the same design cues as that of its Ghibli and Quattroporte cousins. So you get the same side gills and frameless doors that are hallmarks of Maserati’s design language. You also get the same radiator grille albeit a little wider than the sedans of the same stable. With its bold front, sleek silhouette and streamlined shape, the Levante is gifted with best in class Cx coefficient numbers of just 0.31.

Owners who would prefer a sportier style will get to upgrade their Levante’s looks with a Sport Package that includes exterior and interior that pays homage to Maserati’s legendary racing heritage. But if they want to upgrade just the interior, they can easily opt for the Luxury Pack that will see the Levante’s seats wrapped in highly exclusive Zegna Edition premium leather.

As Maserati will only be producing the Levante with the driver’s seat on the right side with a turbodiesel engine, that is what owners will get when they purchase a car from Naza Italia. The Levante’s evolutionary 3.0-litre V6 engine sips diesel and gives you brilliant torque numbers like 600Nm at as low as 2000rpm. The power output records at 275bhp and delivers the car from 0-100kph in 6.9 seconds. The top speed of the Levante is recorded at 230kph but the SUV still manages to keep fuel economy numbers low at 7.2-litres/100km.

Connected to the turbodiesel engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF, Maserati promises the gearbox will provide drivers with seamless comfort and fast gear shifting depending on what drive mode you have selected. Of course, being a vehicle capable of off-roading, the Levante also comes with four drive modes namely Normal, I.C.E, Sport and Off-Road. Each mode will alter the character of the car’s engine, transmission, suspension, and electronics features.

If you’re interested with the Maserati Levante, you are invited to head on down to the Naza Italia showroom in Petaling Jaya to have a chat with the sales team. Trust us, you will definitely be the talk of the neighbourhood when they see you cruising down in the Levante.
