The Lexus Cup 2016 is just around the corner and to celebrate the run-up to the tournament Lexus Malaysia is holding a series of friendly golf tournament. So calling all Lexus owners, whether if you have a love of golf or not, you are invited to participate in the Lexus Golf Invitational 2016.

To make it more convenient, the Lexus Golf Invitational 2016 will be held across the country in three venues:
  • 20th July 2016 Bukit Jawi Golf Resort, Penang
  • 2nd August 2016 at Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club, Nusajaya Johor
  • 25th August at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, Kuala Lumpur
Four winners of the local round friendlies will be sent to take part in the Lexus Cup 2016 held at Montgomerie Links Danang, Vietnam.

The Lexus Cup golf tournament is now in its sixth year. The Lexus Asia Pacific Division started hosting the tournament in 2012 in partnership with its regional distributors. Last year, the Malaysian team emerged as the champions at the event held in Bali.

This year, the competition will be moved to Vietnam to the Montgomerie Links Danang. The golf course was designed by 2010 European Ryder Cup Captain and eight-time European Time Order Merit winner Colin Montgomerie. It was rated as one of the best golf courses in Vietnam.

Commenting on the Lexus Golf Invitational 2016, Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd said: “Golf is popular among Lexus owners, hence the running of the Lexus Golf Invitational annually in Malaysia since 2007 when Lexus Malaysia began operations. We believe this event complements the lifestyle of our customers and also provides them with the opportunity to interact with other Lexus owners.”

“The four winners will get to go the Montgomerie Links Danang in Vietnam to join other Lexus owners in the Lexus Cup 2016. Last year, Malaysians were the champions and it would be nice if this year’s representatives do equally well,” he added.

We hope that the representatives that will be sent to Vietnam will continue their rein as champions in 2016.
