This is how Honda wants to fly in the ATV segment

2017 will see the launch of the Honda Pioneer utility vehicle that plans to take the off-road world by storm.

Set to be launch in the UK, the Pioneer will be Honda's first step into the Side-by-Side (SxS) utility vehicle segment. Setting it aside from more popular quad bikes that are designed for just one person, the Pioneer gives you the chance to share your off-road experience with a partner, or even three since its available as a two or four-seater.

Honda, already being responsible for more than 50 per cent of all UK ATV sales, aim to solidify their name in the ATV sector with Pioneer that combines leisure entertainment and also practical business users. Powered by a 700cc engine, the mini 4x4 uses Honda's ATV technology to keep it going as the going gets tough.

The Pioneer will also take advantage of the European To Man Working Directive that requires at least two people to be present in a dangerous working condition.

Steve Morris, Head of Honda (UK), says that the Pioneer has been developed with the same attention to detail any Honda vehicle is given and that uses can expect comfort, refinement, agility, handling, superior performance and aftersales care that Honda is known for.

“The Pioneer is a fantastic vehicle that will strengthen Honda’s ATV offering significantly. By adding a choice of SxS options to our range, we will be able to build on our best-in- industry reputation and the long-standing customers relationships we have developed through our nationwide network of authorised dealers", he said.

It would be interesting to see one of these Honda Pioneers on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. Wonder if Honda Malaysia will make that happen.
