The seven-seater Honda BR-V prototype previewed at Malaysia Autoshow 2016

The prototype SUV will be on display for the general public from 11-13th November at MIECC

Honda Malaysia sure knows how to capture the audience at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2016 as they put the all-new seven-seater BR-V crossover prototype in the limelight. Taking place at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC), the prototype BR-V is finished in Taffeta White and will be put on display for the public to admire for the next three days.

The seats and space on the new BR-V are probably the highlight of this crossover as it is able to accommodate seven occupants. Since the seats are designed with multi-configuration in mind, the space can be easily manipulated for the users’ convenience.

The BR-V is already blessed with the largest-in-its-segment 223-litres of boot space with all seats up but if one needs more, folding the third row seats more than doubles the space to an impressive 539-litres. The third row seats come in a 50:50 split configuration and full tumble while the second row seats adjusts with an easy One Touch Tilt & Tumble in a 60:40 configuration.

Also putting the BR-V in the spotlight is its 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that pushes out 118bhp, making it the highest engine output in its segment. The BR-V comes with Honda’s iconic Solid Wing Face design, Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and a set of 16-inch Dual Tone alloy wheels for a more attractive appearance. The BR-V is also fitted with practical features such as the reverse camera and sensors to assist the driver.

Bearing the theme “Tomorrow’s Dream, Today’s Reality”, the Honda booth over at the autoshow treats the visitors with a showcase of the brand’s advancement in technology, safety and robotics. The Advanced Technology Corner gives visitors a better understanding on Honda’s hybrid system, safety technology and turbo engine.

Aside from putting the i-DCD Sport Hybrid on display, visitors could also get a firsthand experience riding the UNI-CUB β personal mobility device. But the show does not stop there as Honda is also giving out rewards up to RM8000 to those who place a booking for the Accord, Civic and City, which will also be on display.

If you are not in the area or just could not find the time to drop by MIECC to view the BR-V, fret not, as the new crossover will make its tour around Malaysia for the next two months at the following locations.
