The M4 gets a new name… and a new look

It’s not just the car that gets a new name, the entire company has also undergone a major rebranding.

Formerly known as Great Wall, the brand will now be rebranded to be known officially as Haval. Local distributers have started the rebranding process when the company launched the bigger H2 SUV last year. According to the company “Haval” is an abbreviation of “Have All” as Go Auto is ready to offer all their well equipped vehicles at an affordable price.

With the rebranding of the M4, the company’s new image will be complete. The M4 will now be known as the H1 and will be available in three different variants: Comfort, Premium and Elite. The selling price of the H1 will remain the same as the M4 at RM60,017 for the Comfort variant, RM65,852 for the Haval H1 Premium and RM72,659 for the top of the line and sportier Elite variant.

The H1 is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder VVT MPI engine that produces a total 105bhp at 6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The B-segment SUV is powered by its front wheels and utilises a six-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of looks, the H1 differs from looks with the M4 with the addition of sporty chrome grille and the Haval Logo embedded on the steering wheel.

Opt for the Elite variant and the differences are vaster. You get the standard halogen headlights but with additional LED lights on the background. More LEDs are installed above the fog lamps to give the H1 a sportier look as well.

Pick from a choice of six colours; white, silver, black, blue, red, and orange. All H1 variants will come with a seven-year warranty with unlimited mileage to give owners a peace of mind.
