Bentley KL sends lucky students to Asian Le Mans

Bentley encourages students to Be Extraordinary and rewarded them with a trip to Asian Le Mans!

Bentley Kuala Lumpur is proud to announce the winners of the Bentley #BeExtraordinary International School Competition. The winners of the competition were presented with a Bentley Experience at the Asian Le Mans Series.

The Bentley #BeExtraordinary International School Competition was held in conjunction with the Education is GREAT campaign initiated by the British High Commission Kuala Lumpur. The competition provides a platform for International Schools to design a Bentley to be launched in 2050, and the theme of the car must encompass a pre-eminent British refinement, a refinement that Bentley is known for.

Participating teams came from The Alice Smith School, British International School, Epsom College in Malaysia and the International School at ParkCity. It was the International School at ParkCity who emerged as the most extraordinary of the lot and, due to the marginal score difference between the runner-up team, will be accompanied by The Alice Smith School participants in the Bentley Experience at the Asian Le Mans Series.

The ceremony was held at The Alice Smith School and on hand to give away the prizes to the winning teams was HRH The Duke of York, Prince Andrew. All teams were given the opportunity to present, as well as further elaborate their concepts to The Duke in person as well.

“Bentley will always endeavour to explore the limits of luxury, power and British craftsmanship, where none of this can be possible without the input of our future; the students,” explained Jerry Lee, Brand Director & General Manager of Bentley Kuala Lumpur.

“We were extremely impressed by the level of research and detail presented by all students. It was a tough judging process, and the results of each school were marginally separated. Kudos to the schools and the remarkable level of knowledge showcased during the competition presentations. They were able to present such innovative, yet realistic concepts,” explained Gabor Csurgai, Regional Managing Director of Wearnes.

If you’re interested to take a look at the innovative works of the Bentley #BeExtraordinary teams, Bentley will be displaying the concepts at their prestigious showroom in Kuala Lumpur.
