Covers are off for Mazda’s all-new CX-5

Offered with three engine options, this all-new SUV’s Soul Red Crystal shade just steals our attention at first glance

Developed as “an SUV all customers will enjoy”, Mazda Motor Corporation had recently taken the covers off their all-new Mazda CX-5 crossover SUV. This new SUV is aimed to offer a driving experience that everyone onboard can enjoy and will be launched in Japan in February next year before being rolled out to global markets.

Now exactly how did Mazda managed to achieve such a goal? By engineering the CX-5 in line with human sensibilities, Mazda has adopted G-Vectoring Control, the first of the SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS vehicle motion control technologies. This enables their new crossover to deliver responsive performance and prioritising the passengers’ comfort by offering a pleasant ride.

Still adopting their KODO – Soul of Motion design theme, the CX-5 brings an exterior that is both bold and sensual. The true beauty and quality of the KODO design is further amplified with Mazda’s newly developed Soul Red Crystal body colour which to us looks utterly gorgeous.

The new CX-5 will be available in two petrol variants, a SKYACTIV-G 2.0 and 2.5, and a diesel SKYACTIV-D 2.2 engine option. Making its debut in 2012, the CX-5 was actually the first new-generation model that featured the SKYACTIV technology and today’s widely-used KODO design. It has now grown into a core model that is sold in over 120 countries and contributes to almost a quarter of Mazda’s global sales volume.
