Volkswagen seeks to improve sales performance

Find out how VW Malaysia seeks to improve sales on their showroom floor.

Volkswagen is looking to make their sales consultants more professional and to do so, they sent 58 sales consultants back to school. And the company is proud to announce that all 58 sales consultants graduated from the International Basic Training (IBT) certification.
The IBT is a classroom training that will span 15 days to help instil development in sales competence and to provide knowledge of brand and history along with VW technology. When training is completed, all candidates will go through a series of tests that will consist of a written exam, video analysis and role plays. A panel of judges made of the region managers and dealer sales managers will score the proceedings.
“At Volkswagen, we are focused in training and development to provide better career opportunity to our employees. We first introduced the IBT certification in 2013 to further enhance the knowledge of our team of sales consultants. Today, we are very proud of our 58 graduates this year and are confident that their learnings will enable them to better serve our customers,” says Volkswagen Group Malaysia managing director Armin Keller.
This is the third year that VW Malaysia has sent their sales staff to the IBT training, the 58 that graduated this year will join 85 other certificate holders nationwide.
