Toyota’s special service campaign

A selected number of Toyotas have been listed under this new service campaign.

Internationally, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) recently announced that they are recalling a number of vehicles globally regarding a power window master switch issue on the 21st of October.
Locally, UMW Toyota Motor has confirmed that a number of vehicles in Malaysia are listed under the recall hence the expansion of the Special Service Campaign into our country. The company has received confirmation that a total of 66,830 units of Toyota Vios, Corolla Altis, Camry, Yaris and RAV4 manufactured from September 2005 to December 2010 are involved.
UMW is now preparing all necessary remedial parts for the campaign, the company will be contacting all affected owners to carry out the corrective measures. If the power window master switch is found affected, the item will be applied with specialised grease. If the switch demonstrates signs of malfunction, the entire switch board will be replaced.
Toyota ensures that they have their customer’s best interest at heart and will continue to uphold their confidence for the brand and to give them a peace of mind.
