Harimau Malaya made it to the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 to go up against Thailand on home turf. To show their support, Suzuki Malaysia organised the AFF Suzuki Cup Convoy 2014 with the theme of “Suzuki Ayuh Malaysia”.

It all started at the Suzuki 3S Centre at Setia Gemilang Auto in Shah Alam where about 150 Suzuki customers and enthusiasts in more than 50 various Suzuki cars from all over the country gathered.

The group was flag-offed at noon from the centre by Mr. Keiichi Suzuki and the group convoyed all the way through the hustle and bustle of Klang Valley to make its way to the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil to support Harimau Malaya in the final of AFF Suzuki Cup.

There was a lucky draw with officially signed balls by Team Malaysia as prizes before the convoy was flagged off and they were also treated with more mini activities when they have arrived at their destination along with entertaining performances to enjoy. There were also chances to win Team Malaysia jersey and balls to be won for the Guess the Score contest.

As part of Suzuki Malaysia’s long term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, 23 children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Sg. Judah, a school for Orang Asli on Pulau Carey, Port Klang enjoyed the time of their lives as they walked out onto the pitch with the players from both teams as Player Escorts just before kick-off. This was also Suzuki Malaysia’s commitment towards aiding in the development of a more knowledgeable, dynamic and motivated community.

Both the participants of the convoy and the students from SK Sg. Judah enjoyed themselves and many of the participants from the convoy stated that they would definitely participate in such organised activities in the future. With the overwhelming response Suzuki Malaysia promises to organise more events for the benefit of all Suzuki owners and enthusiasts in Malaysia.
