Proton sees a change of officers with the appointment of three new chiefs and directors to head their boards. By Jerrica Leong

Effective on the 1st of October, Proton sees three experienced officer step up to take the lead and help bring the brand to a whole new level.

Former Director of Sales Mr. Andreas Prinz will be taking the role of Chief Operating Officer, Commercial. Mr. Prinz has got 29 years of experience under his belt having spent time in big companies like Volkswagen and Bentley Motors. The new COO has a track record of 15 years in the automotive industry and establishing of entirely new set up of National Sales Companies and dealership networks for Volkswagen Group in countries like the Middle East, India and Malaysia.

Over on the board of PESB, they have Encik Norzahid Bin Mohd Zahudi and Mr. Daniel Tan Soo Liang to take on the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer respectively.

Both men have got an extensive CV in both outside market and automotive industry, with Encik Norzahid spending 21 years which includes the management of multiple notable brands for both international and domestic distributorship networks and Mr. Daniel Tan has overseen the sales in both local and ASEAN markets with his last role serving a German marque in China.

Amidst the new assignation, Proton also wishes to inform the reassignment of Encik Azmi Bin Idris as CEO of PESB to assume the role of Director of Quality.
