The nation’s bestselling hatchback made it onto the stage with a very new look. It is known as a midlife facelift but you can’t argue that the new Myvi looks very different from the previous version.

Not only does it look different, Perodua has meddled so much with the Myvi to give it new features like front corner and reverse sensors for all variants except the Standard G, seat height adjuster for the driver and adjustable steering wheel. For all variants, there is a new Multi-info Display with Service info set in the odometer.

For the Advanced variant, the centre console also spots a Multimedia System with Navigation and, this is the highlight of the system, a reverse camera. Yes, the new Myvi comes with reverse camera to help with parking the car.

Interior wise, the Myvi is very spacious. All the best features of the Axia could be found in the Myvi, including the winning Anti-snatch hook, with an extra new retractable cup holder. There is also an underseat tray that the Axia had missed out on.

Despite all these updates, the Myvi brings greater value to owners. After extensive research Perodua are able to increase the value proposition by RM4500 through both added features and reducing price.

The New Myvi comes in two segments that consist of four variants. The first segment will be in the 1.3-litre category; the Standard G (MT/AT) and a new variant, Premium X (AT only). The second segment is the 1.5-litre category that includes the Myvi SE 1.5 that comes in both manual and auto transmission and the Myvi Advance Version available only in auto transmission only.

Chose from six colours that includes four favourite colours, Ozzy Orange, Mystical Purple, Glittering Silver and Ivory White and two new metallic colours, Electric Blue (for SE and Advance variants only) and Cosmic Gold (Standard G and Premium X variants only). Prices start from RM41,500 and tops off at RM58,900 in Peninsular Malaysia.
