12,444 owners Nissan’s last generation vehicles do take note, your vehicle may be affected

 
Edaran Tan Chong Motors, the sole distributor and assembler of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, has just announced a service campaign to replace the airbag inflator module for the front passenger airbag in affected vehicles. This campaign involves 12,420 CKD X-Trails made from 1 May 2002 to 2007, 4 CBU Teanas made between August 2004 to September 2004 and the CBU 20 Liberty vehicles made in 2003. All of the vehicles affected are from the last generation, so owners of newer generation Nissan vehicles should not worry too much, yet.

ETCM will directly contact the owners for this campaign. Kan-cheong customers can the Customer Service Hotline (Toll-Free) at 1800-88-3838. Or visit nissan.com.my, where you need to click on the Owners tab, followed by Service Campaign tab, then enter your VIN number to find out if your vehicle is included in this campaign. All labour and replacement parts for this service will be at no cost to customers.
