Think fashion and cars don’t mix. Think again. We’ve seen it done, culminating in the awesome Range Rover Evoque perfected with the stylistic input of Victoria Beckham. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has also executed a similar design exercise with their ASX urban crossover with an equally talented local designer who is no stranger to the high fashion world, Rizalman Ibrahim.

Introducing the Mitsubishi ASX Designer Edition. Further enhanced interior and exterior highlights to make a bolder statement and add a touch of class to the already exciting Mitsubishi ASX. On the outside the Designer edition comes with subtle add-ons like Matte finished black alloy rims that complement the black body stripes that run along the car from front to back. At the back, there’s a larger rear spoiler and fin type antenna up-top, while dark chrome finished tailpipes spice up the lower quarters of the rear end.

Step inside and you enjoy more of the design of the designer edition. Rizalman has been very detailed in the choice of materials and textures for the ASX’s cabin space. Look closely and you’ll find premium leather seats highlighted by neat yellow stitching, two-tone leather gearknob and signature floor mats. Turn on the Multimedia player on the ASX Designer Edition and you’ll also be greeted by a customized Start-up screen with Rizalman’s trademark logo reminding you that this car is unique.

And it’s limited too, only 180 units of the Mitsubishi ASX Designer edition will ever be made available. Costing a modest RM131,801 OTR without insurance, “the devil is in the detail” for this stylish and trendsetting newcomer.
