More Mercedes-Benz C-Class variants to choose from

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is now giving you more C-Class options to pick from.

Just one week after the launch of their facelifted A-Class, Mercedes-Benz launches two new variants for their best-selling C-Class. Introducing the C180 and the C300, two variants which will join the existing C-Class line-up, the C200 that comes with both Avantgarde and Executive line and the C250 with AMG Line.

Mercedes-Benz C180 with Avantgarde line

The C200 is now no longer the entry level C-Class, the new C180 will take its place instead promoting the C200 to the mid-range C-Class. The C180 comes in the Avantgarde line, complete with 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. To make sure the C180 has the same driving dynamics as its other C-siblings, Mercedes-Benz has installed Agility Control suspensions with a selective damping system.

The C180 also comes with Dynamic Select transmission modes to allow drivers to change the set up on the 7G-TRONIC PLUS seven-speed automatic transmission so drivers can pick from “Economy”, “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport +” and even “Individual”. To give the car a sportier drive, those who put the car in Individual mode get to swap gears via the steering wheel gearshift paddles.
Mercedes-Benz has also equipped the C180 with Audio 20 with CD Player, a system that combines entertainment, information and communication. The system also functions as a navigation display as well thanks to its connection with Garmin MAP Pilot.

Like the newly introduced A180, the C180 also has a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces a total power output of 156bhp.

Mercedes-Benz C300 with AMG Line

Along with a new entry-level baby Benz, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also launched the C300 with AMG Line, which will replace the C250 as the top of the line variant.
Not only do you get all the sporty AMG styling like the 19-inch multispoke AMG alloy wheels and AMG front apron in A-wing design with front splitter and side sill panels along with an AMG rear apron with three diffusor fins, you also get the sports suspension that lowers the car by 15mm.

The C300 features LED Intelligent Light System with Adaptive Highbeam Assist which allows drivers to drive with the high-beam turned on by masking detected road users in the cone of light. On the inside, the C300 is equipped with COMAND Online that displays itself on an 8.4-inch high resolution colour display with an intuitive touchpad.

Passengers will also get the Burmester surround sound system to bring a concert hall atmosphere to the C300. The car is also equipped with an electric panoramic sliding sunroof that adapts itself according the car’s speed and even moves automatically to a raised position when it rains to prevent rain from entering the interior.

Fun is provided by the 2-litre engine that develops a whopping 245bhp with a maximum torque of 370Nm from 1300 to 4000rpm. The C300 has the ability to make the century sprint in just 5.9 seconds and easily hit a top speed of 250kph.

Both the C180 in Avantgarde Line and the C300 with AMG Line will be on sale next to the existing C200 and C250 with AMG Line with an asking price of RM228,888.00 for the C180 and RM307,888.00 for the C300. Both prices stated are on-the-road without insurance.

Mercedes-Benz is also offering the Hire Purchase Classic financing campaigns for the two new variants. Customers can enjoy attractive interest rates starting from 2.38 per cent. Customers will also get to choose the special Agility Financing campaign for the two new variants.
