By now, every parent who frequently commutes with children in tow should know just how dangerous the other drivers can be. So much so that driving slowly and carefully does not guarantee that their child would not get flung out of the car in the event of an accident. In short, a child car seat can save a life.

With this in mind, Mercedes-Benz is renting out for free 110 child car seats. The seats are fully ECE R44-compliant and are available with ISOFIX and without ISOFIX. The seats can be converted from rear-facing to front-facing and protect children from birth up to 25kg.

A refundable deposit of RM150 (seats without ISOFIX) and RM300 (seats with ISOFIX) is required and the rental period is only for one month. This free child car seat rental campaign is on from July 2015 to December 2015.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Vice President, Passenger Cars, Mark Raine, explained, “Safety has always been a key pillar for Mercedes-Benz. We hope that our rental campaign, which will begin during this travel season and continue for the rest of 2015, will assist families who are travelling with young children. While we encourage motorists to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before a long drive, we also urge those travelling with young children to take advantage of this added safety feature to safeguard the occupants in the vehicle, especially children.”

In conjunction with the Hari Raya season, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia will start its MobileKids 2015 showcase the Level One, The School Jaya One inn Petaling Jaya. The showcase is open from 11 am to 7 pm daily and will remain here until the end of the year.

Details of the free child car seat rental campaign registration and pick-up of the units are available at www.mychildseat.com. For more information, call 603-2246 8881.
