Mini has got a special edition Countryman up for grabs. By Jerrica Leong

While our country celebrates independence, Mini celebrates 55 years anniversary. In celebration of these two festivities Mini has released a special edition 55 Edition Mini Countryman. 

In 1959, the Mini brought about the concept of revolutionary small car. Malaysia has been home to the Mini for ten years and to pay tribute to Miniacs they’ve created the new 55 Edition Mini Countryman.

The 55 Edition comes with a whole host of exterior enhancement to the familiar interpretation of the classic Mini special. Most prominent of which are the hexagonal grille and the capacious wheel arches. The car is also treated with an exclusive 55 Edition Sports Stripe which runs across its bonnet, side skirting and rear tailgate as well as a 55 Edition Badge.

The 55 Edition is powered by a 1.6-l naturally aspirated engine capable of 120bhp. The car sprints from 0 to 100kph in 11.6 seconds with a recorded fuel consumption of 7.6-l/100km. The 55 Edition also features on-board Mini Radio Basis with Bluetooth interface which allows drivers to comfortably and safely operate smartphones via Bluetooth From the multifunction steering wheel.

There are only 55 units of the new 55 Edition Mini Countryman available on sale. The 55 Edition comes in five colours while the white roof comes only with Blazing Red, True Blue, Royal Grey exterior colours. Estimated retail price on the road without insurance, with three years Mini Service Inclusive is RM188,888.00.
