Honda announces 2015 sales results

Honda Malaysia is proud to announce that they are the No.1 Non-National Brand in the country.

Looks like Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is not the only brand in Malaysia celebrating record breaking sales. Honda Malaysia has recorded an all-time high sales figure allowing them to claim the No.1 Non-National Brand in terms of sales unit for the first time ever.

Honda sold a total 94,902 units for the year 2015, that is a 22 per cent increase to 2014’s total sales of 77,485 units. The Honda City remains as the company’s best-selling model contributing to the highest percentage with 40 per cent of the overall sales recorded.
The rocking HR-V follows the City contributing 21 per cent while the Honda Jazz contributes 18 per cent to the total sales. Other good news the company has to announce is that the City, Jazz, HR-V and CR-V maintains their lead as the best-selling model in their respective segments in 2015.

Commenting on the good news, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Yoichiro Ueno said, “The year 2015 turned out to be an outstanding and memorable year for Honda Malaysia. We started off the year with a challenging sales target of 85,000 units. We ended the year surpassing our target by 12% despite the tough and highly competitive market situation in 2015. In the month of December, Honda Malaysia also recorded the highest monthly sales in history with 10,741 units of vehicles sold.”
“On behalf of Honda Malaysia, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all Honda Malaysia customers for their trust and belief in our brand and for choosing Honda as their vehicle of choice. This record-breaking achievement would not have been possible without our valued customers. I would also like to thank the Malaysian government and business partners for their continuous support towards our endeavours here in Malaysia,” added Mr Ueno.

Honda Malaysia hopes to continue the momentum of 2015’s sales results on to 2016 and promises to bring more exciting products to the Malaysian market and offer the best services to all their customers.
