Caltex continues fuelling learning in schools

Caltex is not just fuelling our vehicles, they are once again fuelling the learning of STEM in schools in Malacca and Negeri Sembilan.

Chevron Malaysia Limited, the company that markets the Caltex brand, is embarking on their next “Energy for Learning” initiative project. They have announced that they have allocated a total sum of RM250,000 to continue on its annual Caltex Fuel Your School campaign in partnership with MyKasih Foundation.
The Fuel Your School campaign aims to fund eligible classroom projects that will help promote the learning of Science, Technology, English and Mathematics (STEM) in a different study format. This year the campaign reaches out to schools in Malacca and Negeri Sembilan, with a total of 50 classroom projects to be awarded, 25 projects from each state.
Selection of which project will receive the funding from Chevron depend on the creativity and innovative use of requested project materials which promotes a hands-on learning experience in the classroom and meets the existing classrooms curriculum objectives.
The MyKasih foundation is responsible for providing consultations to teachers and to help ensure classroom project proposals are scaled towards STEM subjects and will work hand in hand with Chevron to determine classroom projects that deserve to be funded through the Fuel Your School campaign.
This year, the public can also do their part to support the Caltex Fuel Your School campaign. With every purchase of any petrol using the Caltex Journey card during October 15 to November 14 at participating Caltex service stations in Malacca and Negeri Sembilan, RM2 will be pledged to the classroom project.
