With the introduction of Euro4M in Malaysia, Caltex seeks to let road users understand the benefits it brings.

As with everything new that is introduced to all, we would need a few classes to understand how much better the product is. Chevron Malaysia Limited, which markets the Caltex brand, decided to conduct an educational workshop to share insights and benefits of their brand new Euro4M Premium 97 with Techron.
Greg Engeler, Senior Product Engineering Specialist, Team Leader Asia Pacific and Product Engineering stars as the main speaker of the workshop. The specialist is an active participant in the fuel industry and comes from an extensive background at Caltex Australia limited. With over 30 years under his belt, he was the perfect person to explain Euro4M standard to the masses.
At the workshop, Engeler provided his insights on the development of Euro4M Caltex Premium 97 with Techron to the participants. Engeler also presented the benefits and technology behind the Euro4M fuel standard to the attendees to help them understand better.
The Euro4M standard comes with lower benzene and sulphur content as well as Reid Vapour Pressure (RVP) levels which ensure good vehicle operability. With largely reduced sulphur content, it enables the rapid introduction of clean and efficient vehicle technologies for spark and compression ignition engines.
The Caltex® Premium 97 with Techron® is a fuel that contains an effective deposit control addictive that is equipped with a unique ingredient: polyetheramine, this ingredient has been designed to clean fuel system deposits and prevent them from re-forming. Lower quality fuels can leave harmful deposits in the motor engine that would accumulate over time, which would cause the vehicle to stumble during acceleration, knock or lose its power.
“The quality of fuel today is becoming increasingly important to ensure good vehicle performance. Without the right fuel, the engine won’t perform as well as it was designed to perform. We are committed to ensuring our customers are equipped with the best fuel and at Caltex, we are always looking for ways to make our customers’ journey enjoyable and memorable – be it in the form of products or services,” expressed Chevron Malaysia Limited’s Country Chairman, Shahid Ahmed.
With the introduction of Euro4M standards, Caltex’s move to bring in the Premium 97 fuel is another step into helping create a cleaner environment for our country.
