We were left wondering what would happen in the next part with our hot-hatch companions. Jerrica Leong gives you a quick recap.

Part One had been all about the hot-hatches, but really, what did we do with these 250bhp beauties? Well, we went in search of food trucks! Our challengers were set on a challenge to find the best food trucks in KL and PJ.

How many of you had known of these food trucks that our hosts had set out to find? Well, certainly not me. While I’ve only passed a glance at these trucks whenever they were parked outside events I had no idea that they were actually an active business. Now we know and does it not make you want to jump in your car (preferably a hot-hatch) to go hunt for these?

The first stop after pumping fuel at a Shell station, is La Famiglia food truck. How Italian is that? Our Behind the Wheel family was required to put on a blindfold and chow down some Italian dishes to guess which dish they were served. Next they were given a clue to another food truck, the Laughing Monkey café. All our hosts have to do was finish a cup of coffee in ten seconds. Piece of cake? Not if it’s filled with ice!

While the ladies battle brain freeze, the team ended on a high with the team in the VW Golf GTI arriving at their final destination first therefore winning the first challenge. The Renault Megane had not been able to make the Golf eat the humble pie. So I guess that there is just no way of knocking the Golf GTI off its pedestal as the best hot-hatch in the world. Well maybe the Golf R but we all know the R is essentially a GTI with an amplifier.

What’s up for episode two? This time we’re heading off the road and into the wilderness. Will the Ford Kuga be able to handle what the Isuzu Dmax will to throw at it? Be sure to catch the second episode of Behind the Wheel to find out!

Meanwhile, let’s go find that food truck!
