If you’ve been following our Facebook posts you might have known that our Editor was sent all the way to the beautiful Croatia to test drive the 2-Series Gran Tourer. If you want to know all about his adventures in Croatia with the 2 GT be sure to pick up a copy of the July issue of CAR Malaysia, but first let us list out all that makes the 2 GT special here.

  • BMW has given the MPV rear L-shaped taillights with LED light strip and aerodynamically shaped Aeroblades behind the D-pillars to help reduce drag and make for a more sporty rear design.

  • Under the bonnet is a BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre petrol engine that when combined with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission that delivers a power output of 192bhp and 280Nm allowing the 2 GT to power from 0-100kpm in 7.7 seconds.
  • The design of the engine is supported with a two counter-rotating balancer shaft which ensures smooth running across the entire rev range.
  • Efficiency reads at 6.2l/100km and a CO2 emissions level of 144g/km
  • Like the Active Tourer, the Gran Tourer is equipped with the advance front-wheel drive system allowing the car to be more versatile and functional.
